About The Punny Pages

The Punny Pages is a weekly visual newsletter where comics meet captions, and readers bring the punchlines to life. We publish one original, wordless comic each week illustrated in a consistent, storybook-meets-satire style and invite our readers to submit their funniest, wittiest, or most ridiculous captions to match.

It’s part contest, part creative jam session, and part experiment in how far a single drawing can be stretched by imagination.

What We Do

Each issue of The Punny Pages features:

• An original comic panel with no text, no context, and plenty of room for interpretation
• A call for submissions based on that week’s drawing
• The best reader-submitted caption featured in the following issue, alongside honorable mentions and occasional commentary

We don’t spoon-feed humor. We build a space where readers can interact, participate, and take creative ownership of the punchlines. Our comics leave room for absurdity, nuance, satire, and surprise — all in a single panel.

Who We Are

We’re a small creative collective of writers, illustrators, and comic nerds who believe that storytelling doesn’t always need 300 words or three acts. Sometimes, all it needs is a drawing and someone brave enough to caption it.
